Mortgage News

If you were hoping for some good news in real estate going into 2025, I'm afraid you'll have to settle for business as usual. The 5 year forecast see much of the same for buyers and sellers. We are definetetly in a new market and uncharted territories. The old theories don't work, the old pricing doesn't work, the old way of obtaining new clients won't work. Referral business is still the way to go and the trust in knowledge to know when to jump and how high. If you'd like to discuss real estate trends, I'd love to answer questions. I've been studying the market and love statistics, so sharing is caring! I just don't want to bore those who have no interest.

Putting the 'Tea' in Realty
This year, Real Estate sales have been down by 35%. It was a rough year for both sellers and buyers. While sellers pulled back, not feeling like they could improve their situation, buyers realized they needed to be pickier about the homes due to higher costs and interest rates making monthly payments sky-rocket. Because of that, we saw many homes sit on the market longer, buyers demanding repairs or remodels and help with closing costs. We also had the switch in how representation was compensated creating some entitlement with sellers and desperation with buyers.
This year we hope to see the dust settle while we all take a collective deep breath and jump back in. If you are or know of someone wanting to buy or selling in 2025, I would love the opportunity to work with them. Education and preparation is going to be key heading into this new year!
